General impressions-getting to Kashmir(india) and home again
Looking out my window my first sign of the Orient were tiny islands. I asked the stewardess what islands they were and she didn't know but called the captain to find out. They were the Kuril Islands, owned by Japan but still claimed by Russia.
Approaching China the South China Sea had severe weather-high winds and massive storm clouds and being a sailor I was very thankful to be safe and secure in a Boeing 747.
I don't believe there was a more exciting and thrilling airport to land at than Hong Kong's-it has been replaced by a state of the art airport. On final approach the concrete highrises are so close you are literally only feet away.
Flying from Hong Kong to Dehli, India I could look out on the Himalaya Mountains for hundreds of miles and I could only think every single peak would dwarf Mt. Rainier in my state which is over 14,000 feet.
To be continued next week.
Please pray for peace in Kashmir(India)
